Les news de la MAF – Maison d’Arrêt des Femmes

"Les news de la MAF" is a choreographic work presented by the Maztek company and the Myriam Soulanges – Back Art Diffusion company, which highlights the stories, gestures, and experiences of incarcerated women. Drawing on work conducted since 2021 at the Rémire-Montjoly Women’s Detention Center, the performance explores the reality of women in prison, who are often a minority and less visible within the correctional system. Here, dance and artistic creation become means of conveying their voices, hopes, and life stories. Performed by Anne Meyer, Guy Gabon, Myriam Soulanges, Capucine Bartholi, and Ludivine Mirre, this production blends movement, personal testimonies, and artistic expression to explore incarceration, dignity, and art’s ability to give voice to stories rarely told.
