Sonny Troupé – Evy Danse

Guadeloupean percussionist Sonny Troupé returns to the stage with *Evy Danse*, the third installment in a musical journey that began with *Voyages et rêves* in 2013 and continued with *Reflets Denses* in 2017. Deeply influenced by gwoka, Sonny Troupé creates music that embraces a wide range of influences. Percussion, the ka drum, jazz, electronic textures, vocals, and strings come together in a performance that blends Guadeloupean heritage with contemporary experimentation. For *Evy Danse*, the musician is joined by a string quartet, among others, adding a new dimension to his musical world. The show thus offers a journey between tradition and modernity, in which rhythms, melodies, and sounds evolve as the pieces unfold.
