Hommage à Bébé Rospart – Carte blanche

Artchipel is dedicating an evening to Bébé Rospart, a leading figure in gwoka and Guadeloupean culture, as part of Commemoration Month. This “carte blanche” program looks back on several decades of artistic commitment devoted to preserving and promoting the traditions of Guadeloupe. Throughout his career, Bébé Rospart has participated in various musical and cultural projects in Basse-Terre before founding his own venue, Solboko, dedicated to the practice, creation, and transmission of gwoka. This evening will offer an opportunity to discover her journey and her artistic world through music, encounters, and the memory of a living tradition passed down from generation to generation.
