During European Heritage Days, come explore the Arsenal of Basse-Terre, a historic building that bears witness to the city’s military past. Built on the site of the former Jesuit enclosure, which was developed starting in 1764, the Arsenal served, among other things, as a place to house newly arrived soldiers. This open house offers a chance to explore a place steeped in history and learn more about the evolution of Basse-Terre and its architectural heritage.
